LAVENHAM CHURCH
( Suffolk)
Lavenham-
was
a very important town in medieval England.
It's prosperity was founded upon the wool
trade. The wealth enable them to build this
massive church. But as the price of wool
declined, the town declined in importance
and is today the size of a large village. It
contains the best preserve collection of
TUDOR and
medieval buildings in England.

Cambridge
This is unusual, being one of the few round
churches to survive. They were built by the Knights Templar from the
12th to the 14th centuries. This round church is near the centre of
Cambridge.

Wadenhoe is a small village by
the banks of the River Nene in Northamptonshire. The church nestles
on the hillside above the river. Note the unusual form of bell
tower. |
