A falcon at the falconry stand. Falcons differ from hawks in that they are very swift
flying birds, with pointed wings, whereas hawks have broad wings with fingered ends.
Falcons such as this can catch other birds such as grouse and ptarmigan on the wing. |

catch small game such as rabbits. Handling birds of prey such as these is a rare skill and
requires tremendous patience.
