Military trainers include another varied selection. There is considerable overlap between this sector and many of the others. For example, many aircraft designed as civil trainers were adopted by the military and vice versa. Some aircraft were designed for quite different civil roles, such as transports, and then adopted as military trainers - or vice versa. And some trainers have grown into strike attack aircraft, or have been developed as training versions of existing strike aircraft. As a general rule, aircraft here were designed primarily as military trainers.
