Fighters & attack aircraft include all types of fighting and ground attack aircraft. It is an eclectic collection, ranging from aircraft of the first world war to the latest high technology fighting aircraft, and including agile air-to-air combat aircraft, robust missile platforms and insurgent, strike attack aircraft. The boundary between fighters and bombers is thus in some cases a bit blurred; in general, where in doubt, an aircraft is placed here.
